* This Sunday, we celebrated the Solemnity of Corpus Christi. After our 12:30 pm Mass, parishioners walked in procession to the altar for Benediction in the parking lot... "taking Christ out to the world." But even if you were not able to participate in this way, each time you receive the Body and Blood of Christ in the Eucharist, you *are* taking Christ out to the world. Christ in the Eucharist "gives us the grace to love, to forgive, to persevere." You are invited to reflect further on this with the attached homily from Fr. Livinus.

Thanks be to God -- our Parish has welcomed dozens of new Parishioners over the past few months through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Communion. ***Check out all the beautiful photos at our Facebook and Instagram pages.
Over the next few months, we will be celebrating more special occasions, including our graduates from high school and beyond (see our Facebook and Instagram posts), our 50th and 25th anniversary married couples, the 25th Anniversary of Ordination of Fr. Livinus, and the 6th Annual World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly.
As we enter this new month, we invite you to discern the ways in which you will offer your gifts of service in our community -- at Mass, in small groups, and in the wider community. If you are interested in receiving dedicated Volunteer-related Flocknote messages, be sure to add that group to your own Flocknote profile.

Thank you so much for signing up on the Volunteer list of our Flocknote messages. This is a smaller group of parishioners who "raised their hands" to help out in many different ways.
Here is our question to consider..."In what ways to you want to volunteer in the parish?"
We have ongoing needs for volunteers in our liturgical ministries: Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Altar Servers, Choir members, and Ministers of Hospitality. But there is always more...
In the recent past, we have organized celebrations for our families who celebrated Baptism (in January), our First Communion families (in May), our 25th and 50th Anniversary couples (in June), our Grandparents, Elders, and their families (in July), our entire parish family on Holy Family Sunday (in December), and our Homebound parishioners with a greeting card (every month). It would be a tremendous blessing to organize a group of volunteer parishioners who commit to the success of these events.
Perhaps YOU have thought of a way you want to volunteer that doesn't exist yet... Maybe YOU have an idea for gathering people together for a specific outreach. Please REPLY to this message if you want to take a next step in active participation in a volunteer role. We need you!

Good morning to all our parishioners and friends of Holy Family. Today is one of those beautiful simultaneous observances of several occasions on our calendar... First Friday, celebration of St. Joseph the Worker, and the beginning of the month of May dedicated to our Blessed Mother.
What a beautiful way to celebrate our parish namesake of the Holy Family! After the 12:00 noon Mass, we have Eucharistic Adoration until 2:00 pm, and after our 7:00 pm Mass, there is also Adoration from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. We continue to grow throughout this Easter Season which lasts until Pentecost on Sunday, May 24 in prayer, in sacramental celebrations, and in works of charity.
Here are a few suggestions for continued growth in your interior spiritual life and in the community life of our parish:
1 - Spiritual Bouquet for upcoming graduates of high school, post high school, and college programs.
2 - Find time to pray the Rosary: after 12:00 pm daily Masses, after Saturday 8:00 am Mass, before the Sunday 12:30 Mass, and other suggested times with others around the world as suggested on our Facebook page.
3 - Plan ahead for Card Signing days for our homebound parishioners, opportunities for service in our community as announced from time to time in the Bulletin, and for the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly in July.

Last night, the celebration of the Triduum began with the Mass of the Lord's Supper. Below is the YouTube clip of the bilingual homily given by Fr. Livinus Torty, MSP, our Parish Administrator.
Today's liturgies -- The Celebration of the Passion of the Lord -- are at 3:00 pm in English and at 6:00 pm in Spanish. Our Deacons will lead the Stations of the Cross at 7:30 pm, alternating languages for each Station.
The Easter Vigil liturgy begins at 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 4 and includes the Service of Light, the Liturgy of the Word, the Baptismal Liturgy, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. What a beautiful night to hear the proclamation of salvation history, to witness the reception of the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation, to renew our own Baptismal promises, and to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord.
On Sunday, April 5, we celebrate Easter at our regular Mass times of 7:30 am, 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 12:30 pm. Please note, there is no evening Mass today because Iona University is on break.

1 - ALL Religious Education classes scheduled for Sunday, January 25 are CANCELLED.
Families enrolled in the program should look for an email from Deacon Don with specific information about your child and their class.
2 - ALL Masses on Sunday, January 25 will be live-streamed on our StreamSpot and YouTube platforms.

Happy New Year to all our parishioners and friends of The Church of the Holy Family!
Perhaps you are making plans for the new calendar year, and we hope that a more active participation in parish life is part of those plans. In one week, we welcome back the families who brought a family member for Baptism in 2025 -- there were 139! In the Bulletin, on Facebook and Instagram, and in announcements at Mass, we have put out a call for Volunteers to support these families at the celebration next week, and we are waiting for your response.
Are you ready to support them, too? Send a quick email to [email protected] saying that you are able to help -- possibly with setup, during the event, and clean up.
If this is not an event that works for your schedule, we invite you to participate in all of the other volunteer opportunities of the parish: supporting HOPE Community Services with a monthly home-cooked meal, supporting our young people in Religious Education and in the teen group Relig, supporting liturgical life as a Lector, Usher, Choir member, Eucharistic Minister, Altar Server, caring for the altar decor, and so much more.
Maybe in 2026, you are feeling a nudge to participate in the Saturday Bible study on Zoom, the Senior Social group, praying the Rosary with others after weekday Masses or prayers of Divine Mercy on Tuesday evenings, praying in community after the Wednesday and Friday evening Masses, Bible Study in Spanish on Monday evenings, and taking notice of all the Bulletin items, announcements at Mass, and our social media channels.
We are blessed to call The Church of the Holy Family our parish home, and we are glad to welcome all of you to grow in faith with each other!
Perhaps you are making plans for the new calendar year, and we hope that a more active participation in parish life is part of those plans. In one week, we welcome back the families who brought a family member for Baptism in 2025 -- there were 139! In the Bulletin, on Facebook and Instagram, and in announcements at Mass, we have put out a call for Volunteers to support these families at the celebration next week, and we are waiting for your response.
Are you ready to support them, too? Send a quick email to [email protected] saying that you are able to help -- possibly with setup, during the event, and clean up.

Every year, Holy Family provides gifts at Christmas for those in need through our Giving Tree.
The tree is up in front of the church. If you have not done so already, please take a tag or two and buy the gift listed on the tag.
Gifts are to be returned by Sunday, December 14th, so that they can be picked up by the charities that distribute the gifts.
Below is a list of the charities served by your generosity. New hats and gloves, and multipair sock packages are also welcome. Thank you!
