Anointing of the Sick

Through this sacrament, the entire Church asks God to lighten your suffering, forgive your sins and bring you to eternal salvation. You need not be on the verge of dying to receive this sacrament. The anointing and the prayers that accompany it intend to restore the sick person to health. Also, if you are infirm or aged you can and should ask for this sacrament.
